In September 2022, Thought Partnerships hosted a conversation with Radio La Benevolencija HTF to learn how they are utilizing entertainment-education programmes to combat polarization in Africa and Europe. This event spotlighted the use of media to empower groups and individuals to recognize and resist hate speech and violence through active bystandership.

Modeling Sustainable Partnerships: A Collaboration to Counter Hate Across Borders

In June 2022, Thought Partnerships hosted an engaging conversation between TIDE and I-GMAP, spotlighting how two organizations dedicated to peacebuilding and atrocity prevention are utilizing the creative arts and partnerships to counter hate and division. This event focused on their cross-country collaboration and modeled how two seemingly disparate organizations, seeking to create similar change, team up to build new opportunities for partnership and impact.


Mental Health Awareness: A Journey of Personal Healing and Activism

In May 2022, Thought Partnerships hosted an intimate conversation with Joanna Grace Farmer of Building Community Capacity where she shared her personal journey of trauma, healing and how she harnessed that experience to create awareness and support others. This event spotlighted grief, suicide, and active listening activities.

Making Holocaust Memory Relevant: Inspiring the Next Generation of Community Changemakers

In April 2022, Thought Partnerships commemorated Genocide Awareness month with The Harriet and Kenneth Kupferberg Holocaust Center at Queensborough Community College and the Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Purdue University Fort Wayne. This event spotlighting how two different Holocaust centers are using memorialization and Holocaust education to make the issues of anti-semitism, racism and polarization relevant to the next generation of community changemakers.

In November 2021, Thought Partnerships hosted a behind the curtain conversation with the Peace Science Digest team and the following members of our Peer Learning Community: Beyond Conflict, Moonshot, PeaceTech Lab and Protection Approaches. This event spotlighted the special issue focusing on countering hate and violent extremism, a collaborative project between Thought Partnerships and the War Prevention Initiative at the Jubitz Family Foundation.

This event spotlighted the realities of working in a refugee context by showcasing the transformative work and best practices of a locally led youth organization and myth-busting some of the misconceptions of working in this setting.

Dangerous Speech in Action: A Panel Discussion with Researchers from South Sudan, Brazil and Croatia

In May 2021, Thought Partnerships hosted a panel discussion with four Fellows from the Dangerous Speech Project’s Global Research Initiative. The event offered an opportunity to learn directly from scholars and practitioners from South Sudan, Brazil and Croatia, who analyze dangerous speech in their home countries, to better understand and diminish its harmful effects.

In April 2021, Thought Partnerships commemorated Genocide Awareness month with Together We Remember. The event commenced with a name reading ceremony and spotlighted how Together We Remember is utilizing collective memory as a strategy for building social cohesion and fostering empathy against divisions and hate.

In October 2020, Thought Partnerships hosted a webinar and Q&A session led by the Beyond Conflict team. This webinar showcased Beyond Conflict’s latest research findings on the psychological underpinnings behind polarization and scientific insights that enable individuals, institutions, and leaders to address the increasing threat of toxic polarization.


U.S. Crisis Mapping and Resilience Training

In August 2020, Thought Partnerships hosted a training and Q&A session led by the Bridging Divides Initiative. The training showcased the recently launched U.S. Crisis Monitor and other BDI tools that can be used for real-time crisis mapping, monitoring, and analysis.


Countering Dangerous Narratives During COVID-19 Training

In May 2020, Thought Partnerships hosted a training led by the Over Zero team on how to best utilize their exciting new resource. "Counteracting Dangerous Narratives in the Time of COVID-19" is a resource for practitioners, community leaders, and other stakeholders navigating divisive and dangerous rhetoric during COVID-19.
